Pastor Duncan graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Mo in 1969 with a
Bachelor of Science and Theology Degree.
His wife, Jewell graduated in 1968 with an Associates Degree in Missions and a minor in
Christian Education. Upon graduation, Pastor Duncan & wife moved to Brookfield, MO
where he pastored 5 years at the Grace Baptist Church. Then, he & family moved to
Centerville, IA where he pastored 3 years at the Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church. Then
moved to Boulder, CO where he continues to pastor the Bible Baptist Church of Erie
(formerly First Bible Baptist Church of Boulder.) He and his wife, Jewell have been
married 43 years and have three children including 3 adorable and precious
grandchildren.
ABOUT OUR CHURCH & GOD'S "AMAZING GRACE"
Pastor Jim and Jewell moved to Boulder from Centerville, Iowa to become the pastor of
First Bible Baptist Church 1870 Redwood Ave, in August of 1978. He was the third pastor
of the church which was started in 1970. Because it was nearly impossible to make the
building handicap accessible and many of the church family had moved out of Boulder to
the east, the church decided to sell church & property at current location and look for
new property. The 1870 Redwood property was sold in October of 2003 northeast
Boulder. The church has changed its name to Bible Baptist Church of Erie of 5050
County Line Rd 1 - Erie, CO.
Pastor Jim has been a pastor for 42 years. Pastor and Jewell have presently ministered
at Bible Baptist 34 years and look forward with excitement and anticipation to see what
God has in plan for their lives and Bible Baptist Church of Erie.
